About Us

Local, Loving Care

Our hospital is owned and operated by Dr. Ian McLean and has been providing medical care for Burlington pets since 1974. All our veterinarians are graduates of the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph.

Our veterinary technicians have extensive experience working in both veterinary emergency and specialty clinics. This not only allows us to offer exceptional care for our patients but allows us to offer outstanding externship experiences to veterinary technician students.

At MacKay’s Animal Hospital, all pets are treated with the utmost loving care during every check-up, procedure, or surgery.

We continue to provide compassionate veterinary care to the Burlington Humane Society’s stray and abandoned pets and have done so since their opening in 1974.
